This development has already been approved by RBKC Planning Committee in March 2021. This was decided despite many locals’ knowledge during the COVID period. This is bizarre at the most since many locals appear not to have been consulted.
Our goal is to ensure local residents, particularly in Royal Avenue and Tryon Street, and its immediate neighbours, are not adversely affected by the construction management and end result. The Chelsea Society attempted to advise the developers as to the need to blend into the axis south of the development in Royal Avenue and Christopher Wren’s stunning Royal Hospital, which have hosted the Chelsea Pensioners, founded by King Charles II in 1682 as a retreat for veterans.
It is too late to stop the approval BUT we can have a say final say on the architectural plan itself! But we need YOUR help. Please email your suggestions ASAP to email@example.com to comment!
